241. The Case Against You

As I settle in to the things that are set before me, I want to pull back. I want to hide. I want to run. I want to shut it all down and hit delete and drift into a quiet family life, and I am again reminded that my life is not my own but it’s designed to glorify the Lord.

There are days I fail, there are days I succeed, but I gave Jesus my yes years ago and I have to stand on it. Regardless of how it looks in this realm, regardless of what people think, there is a greater battle behind the scenes that I am sent to fight. Like someone quietly disarming a bomb in the subway during a city event that could go off destroying a massive crowd. Many will have no idea that the one significant person cutting the right wire at the right time is the reason they get to walk home unscathed.

Intercessors this is how we fight our battles.

I had to count the cost regardless of how it looks. I had to be willing to lose everything and everyone because if I don’t, more people will be hurt, more people will die, and more INNOCENT people will lose the love of Jesus in the process.

The people think they know, but they have no idea.

Oh God, which wire? Oh God, when? The people, Jesus ALL these people.

The Lord showed me a vision of a court room today. There was the plaintiff. The accuser. Throwing up every accusation you could think of for every person alive on earth. There was the defendant. Jesus Christ. Our advocate.

As I walked in the room I saw that I was wearing all black and led to the plaintiff’s side of the court room. I was confused, Lord Jesus I’m on your side, what is going on, but as I opened my mouth to speak, every negative word I’ve spoken about myself or another person flew out of my mouth and onto papers stacked in the enemy’s briefcase. Every word I have EVER spoken in my life that backed the enemy’s agenda was on those papers. Every single one.

My heart broke for the realization in that visual. Every careless word that was against what the Lord saw in someone was there. True or not true, when spoken out of my mouth, was another word on the paper in the enemy’s possession in that court room.

As I cried out in repentance for every unclean, ungodly word, I saw those stacks of paper begin to diminish down to nothing that was left.  When the briefcase was clear, the black suit I was wearing was instantly coated in the blood of the Lamb becoming a radiant white as Lord Jesus ushered me over to His side of the courtroom.

There in His briefcase was every prayer that I ever prayed. The cries and intercessions done in the secret place. There was the Lord Jesus, His pure presence drawing me in calling me His, embracing me tightly and it was settled. I am His and so are you.

As we stepped back I saw both briefcases on their designated tables. Satan, myself and Jesus lined up in the back of the courtroom. Left, center, right, facing the bench. I began to see the papers being stacked up on both sides.

As the vision panned out, the courtroom was in the heavens and every word coming up from earth was flowing into one briefcase or the other. Every single word. One side or the other. No middle ground.

No middle ground.

Lord Jesus I come to you in repentance, with your children, repentance for every sin, repentance for every unforgiveness, repentance for every unclean and careless word that went against the word of God and against the will of our Father in Heaven for His people or His Kingdom progress on earth as it is in Heaven. Jesus cleanse our tongues. Cleanse our minds. Cleanse our ambitions. Cleanse our hearts. Cleanse our steps and order them accordingly in your name. Jesus birth in this realm and atmosphere everything that has been held back by the carelessness of our tongues. May these new words and new prayers of intercession now usher forward everything that has been held back. Lord place a guard on our mouths, tongues, hearts, minds, wills and emotions and unleash what you have for your Glory here on earth! I thank you Father God, I thank you and praise you Jesus for all you have done, do, and will do for us. I thank you and honor you Holy Spirit. In Jesus mighty name I pray! Amen 🙌🏻

1 John 1:8-2:2

8 If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.

9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

10 If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.

2 My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous:

2 And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world.

A Psalm of Asaph.

82 God has taken his place in the divine council;

    in the midst of the gods he holds judgment:

2 “How long will you judge unjustly

    and show partiality to the wicked? Selah

3 Give justice to the weak and the fatherless;

    maintain the right of the afflicted and the destitute.

4 Rescue the weak and the needy;

    deliver them from the hand of the wicked.”

5 They have neither knowledge nor understanding,

    they walk about in darkness;

    all the foundations of the earth are shaken.

6 I said, “You are gods,

    sons of the Most High, all of you;

7 nevertheless, like men you shall die,

    and fall like any prince.”

8 Arise, O God, judge the earth;

    for you shall inherit all the nations!

244. Out of the Wilderness

  The Lord is calling you. He's calling you deeper. He's calling you higher. He's calling you to become more of His and less of what this world calls "Christian" and gets away with. He's calling you, to gather all the broken pieces of the past and He is leading you, to help you put them back together again.  This morning during worship the Lord led me to an open field. There was a half broken down stage like the aftermath of a weekend music festival. I was walking the disheveled grounds kicking through trash and broken down campsites. So much mess left behind without a care or thought in the world. Our pasts can feel the same. So much junk, so much carnage, so much chaos left behind.  I grabbed a large trash bag and began cleaning. As I continued to gather things up, the ground was transforming. The season was shifting. The air felt lighter, the leaves in the surrounding trees began to change and a fresh autumn breeze began to blow through the field. As the la...

258. Is Jesus Enough?

Is Jesus enough for you? What if we never arrive? What if like Moses you wander in the desert for years only to have the Joshua generation be the one to enter the promised land? The land that was originally promised to Abraham 42 generations prior. 42 generations it took to fulfill that promise.  What if you’re generation 37, or 16, or 5 or 41. What if your family is this close to the breakthrough of the promised land that you’ve been praying for, and you give up now? What if you take the bait of the enemy and quit before you reach the finish line? Or worse yet, you give up, erase the efforts of every generation before you, and your kids or grandkids never meet Jesus at all.  This is your reminder…don’t fall for it. Same evil tactics different worldly package. All designed to kill, steal and destroy.  Satan doesn’t have to take your life if he can take your peace, wrap you in groundhog’s days, and have you spread that woe is me, lack of joy under a “Christian” label, like...

250. Stay North Ash

  Testimony time! Change is hard for some people, especially during the holidays. While many others handle change with ease, I tend to handle it like a cat thrown in a bathtub. Settling in here hasn’t been much different. So much change.  In many areas it’s been a blessing and the perfect fit, but I’d be lying if I said being this far away from Leah wasn’t the hardest thing I’ve ever done. While she’s amazingly independent, I always thought she’d be away at college before I couldn’t just stop by if she ever needed me for anything.   This has led to me questioning the Lord on a lot of things, and led to me wondering if us moving to Morgantown would be a good fit for the next season the Lord has coming up over the horizon.   How many of you have experienced something similar? You pray, the Lord answers, you obey, then you’re in it. You’re smack dab in the middle of what you prayed for and it ends up challenging you to grow in ways you never thought possible.  You ...
