237. Chew your leg off

We say the gospel is worth dying for, but is it worth chewing your leg off for while you’re still alive? Today during worship, the Lord showed me hundreds of thousands of mice and rats stuck in glue traps, worshipping the Lord.

Their heads and mouths were open singing but their feet were stuck to the traps holding them hostage, keeping them caught in one place, and ultimately leading to their deaths.

I saw a line of rogue mice and rats standing to the side. Some missing a leg, some missing an eye, some an ear or even some teeth. They were walking freely, burdened by the sights or their brothers and sisters. They looked rough, they knew what it was like to be in that place and they know what it takes to get out of that trap. They knew true freedom.

Then I saw them get to action. Going individually to these mice and rats helping chew them free. Helping them get through that pain, that agony, and get to freedom. Helping them get to the sidelines and get to a place where they can rest and heal.

I saw another group standing off to the other side. They were also missing limbs and had gotten themselves free. They were shouting directions at the ones stuck in death. Bite this way, pull your leg harder, say Jesus louder, chew faster etc.

If your right hand offends you….

The thing is….its gonna hurt to chew off that leg.  But you WILL DIE there if you stay in that place.

Either way, if you chew it off yourself, or if someone else chews it off for you it’s going to hurt. But You have to go through the pain to cut yourself free.

That’s the body of Christ. When people aren’t willing to chew off their own legs to get free, are you willing to get in that mess with them and help them chew it off? Are we willing to get off the sidelines and actually help people heal?

Are you stuck? Are you getting yourself free, or are you so worn down that you need someone to come along side you and help you do the painful thing? We are a kingdom. Time is up, it’s time to send in the healers to advance the kingdom of Jesus.

Do not remain stuck because the pain of cutting yourself free will hurt. Separation from Christ for all eternity hurts far worse.

Matthew 5:29-32

And if thy right hand offend thee, cut it off, and cast it from thee: for it is profitable for thee that one of thy members should perish, and not that thy whole body should be cast into hell.

240. Back together again

You know, it's hard when you're growing and walking things out in this life. We look at the world and we point out what's wrong, or what needs changed but we don't realize that the change within us is the most important change needed of all.  The Lord took me to a hallway today. The rooms were all white. In the first room I saw myself about 5 years old. I had crayons and paint and I was dancing to music, painting and coloring these beautiful pictures on the walls. I was praising the Lord and singing as loud as I could. In the second room I was a teenager. I was sitting at a desk. I had colored pencils lined up distinctly in a row, sorted by color. I was coloring on a piece of white paper making a neat picture of a hillside. On top of the hill sat a small white church with a view of the sunset. I had head phones on, jamming out the inside while my composure was quiet and still. In the third room I was in my 20's. I was seated at a dining table. I had a canvas and p...

121. The Hand that Feeds You

As I was praying last night I was interrupted with a vision. As I was on the floor with my head down I got the impression that I was no longer alone. I lifted my head and I was faced with the image of a vicious dog on the end of a very heavy chain. Almost Cujo style if you all remember that book/movie. There was so much anger, but when I looked into the eyes, really looked, all I could see was pain.  Then the Lord put on my heart that this vicious dog was once an innocent puppy. I saw the welping box and families with children picking up the puppies, loving on them and taking them home. Then there was one left. He was unwanted and never chosen. I began to see different stages of that dogs life in my mind like a movie. From being called worthless and left outside in the cold, hungry and shivering; to being beat for being excited and jumping up for attention when someone came by to drop off some food or water.  Every hand that puppy saw as it was growing up brought both nourishm...

120. Don’t get Distracted by the Shiny Things

I was listening to a bethel podcast this morning and I was blessed with a vision of a brick road. I’ll get to that in a bit but first I’ll brief you on the podcast. (link in the comments) The podcast had referenced the difference in the 1st, 2nd and 3rd heavens. It focused on making sure that we understand that we can view and discern all three realms. We are not meant to see only this one dimension. It was an eye opening teaching about making sure you ascend into the third heaven, seated with our Heavenly Father in order to find the right direction needed to conquer the battles in the other realms. That happens in prayer, if you let it. The three realms are this natural world (1st heaven), the spiritual warfare realm where the demonic dwells (2nd heaven), and the Lords kingdom (3rd heaven) where the enemy and all demonic forces have lost all authority have have zero power. I’ll have to learn more on all of that before I can actually elaborate in teaching, but I’ll tell you how this vi...
