Testimony time!!! (I have no voice so I can’t do a video)
Two months ago I was told that my acl was completely torn in my left knee along with a tear in my meniscus. The doctor said I’d need knee surgery but I could wait till July but not to be a hero. Today I walked all around Myrtle Beach doing street ministry for about 5 hours or so. No knee pain. No aches. Just another testimony of the healing that the Lord can do. He amazes me at every step.
I woke up today with no voice. Out of nowhere I couldn’t even talk. The Lord knew I had street ministry lined up today and I was admittedly discouraged. I thought about cancelling and then I thought, nope that’s what the enemy wants. So I set out to meet Pastor Dave and Kelly as they picked me up. We met with another group that frequently does street ministry in the area. Wagons were loaded up with portable music, literature, chicken sandwiches, water, pop, toiletries and all the goodies. The kicker for me was the hot coffee with cream and sugar packets ready to go! These were such good ideas, I’m going to have to try this in town one day soon!
We met in an alley near a church and the very first man we encountered ended up getting taken to a recovery house! Within the first half hour of us being there he was in the car heading to a new season of his life. PD and Kelly had prayed before hand that the day would be planned out by God and the Lord set this up straight out of the gate! Just like that, he was on his way to a safe warm place to experience recovery and Jesus! Before we left we had gathered for prayer around him and I heard the Lord say trauma and accident. I asked him if he had any pain in his body or if anything had happened to his back and he mentioned that he was the sole survivor of a car wreck where 5 others had passed away. I was able to pray for his back and healing for his heart and mind. I can’t say he was immediately pain free but I know it touched his heart to know that God sees him and knows specific details about him.
That’s how words of knowledge work. They aren’t this booming thundering voice you hear over the thoughts in your own head, often times they sound just like the thoughts in your own head!
For another example, we went over to the post office where two guys and a girl were hanging out. They accepted the offered prayer and snacks. As I was talking with Kelly, I kept hearing in my head “headaches” “headaches” like it would not stop. So I waited for a break in the conversation and I walked over to the one guy and girl and said “Hey I know this is kind of random but do either of you get really bad headaches?” And the girl says to me, that’s so crazy that you’d ask me that, I get them all the time. I offered to pray for them to leave her and she was like sure! I prayed for her, we got to talking and here her mom had recently passed away. I opened up about losing my dad back in September and we had a nice chat about a few other things. She mentioned that she was a recovering addict. I prayed again and also broke generational curses because she mentioned her mom had headaches all the time too. We had a really nice encounter in those few minutes outside of the post office all because I went with the random word “headaches” that I heard from the Lord and stepped out. It’s that simple, listen and step out when you hear. She was blown away that God would bring that up and her head was feeling better when we parted ways. God knows exactly what people need.
Then we stopped and saw the bishop. He was working on cars outside. We all gathered around and prayed. As we were holding hands as a group I kept feeling this pain in my hands and had the thought that maybe it was something he was dealing with. When we finished praying I asked if he ever gets pain in his hands, he said yes and I offered to pray for healing. He was thankful and said I was the real deal. He has a ministry down there and helps people. It’s so cool when the Lord reveals these details about people and when the power of the Lord heals the sick and delivers us from our pain. It shows He sees us, it shows He cares, it shows He wants to reveal himself to us.
That’s another example of words of knowledge, feeling them. Feeling random pain out of no where could be something the Lord is revealing to us to help others!
We continued walking and ministered to a few other people. It was so awesome to see this group going out and Loving on people the way they do.
Another man we encountered had a cane and sciatica pain down his legs. PD prayed over him and had some really beautiful things that the Lord wanted to speak into his life. When he finished I prayed for the pain to leave his body and for sciatica to get out. He felt the fire of the Holy Spirit and jumped a little bit. When we finished praying he said “ooh I felt that!” 😂
When we step out and pray using the authority the Lord gives us, things happen and they always will. The enemy is not afraid of Christian’s. He’s afraid of Christians that understand their authority and the power of the Holy Spirit!
On our way back we encountered a mother and daughter that were blocking traffic and directing it for the country music festival. We were able to pray for both of them and the Lord really put a smile on their faces. The daughter had knee pain and I was able to lay hands on her and pray for healing. You’d be surprised how many people are open to prayer when you simply ask them if they need it.
I love street ministry. I love sharing testimonies, helping others and encouraging you all to step out and walk in this too! God has plans for all of us. Ask Him what His plan for you is. You’d be surprised. He may change your entire life.
He may remind you of a dream you had two years ago that’s coming to pass in a month. He may ask you to step out of your comfort zone. He may send you on random adventures, mess with your plans and change things up on the spot. Follow Him and your life will never be boring. Step out and see what happens.
