140. Rise up to Deliver


I’m not going to lie I’m angry today. I’m emotional and I’ve had enough. Enough of staying silent when I want to scream. There is a war going on in the heavens. There is no one that’s invincible. What we need now more than ever are people willing to equip others with the truth. With the power of the Holy Spirit and with deliverance. There is not one person on earth that doesn’t need the Holy Spirit.

There is not one person on earth that doesn’t need deliverance. Not a one.

I’ve had a rough week, I’ve felt the air becoming thick, I’ve been in a space where I’ve felt in between, not sure of what to do or what to say. My friend Rose likened it to a hallway period. One where you’re wandering down this path not sure which door to choose. I asked the Lord yesterday to show me why it’s been quiet lately and as per the usual He was like sure Ash, bam💥 ask and you shall receive. As I picked Nash up for daycare yesterday it was like the thickness of the spiritual warfare was suffocating me. I got him in the car and decided to go grab a bite to eat for dinner. As I turned out of the parking lot I immediately started crying. I felt like my heart was going to explode and I had no idea why. With tears streaming down my face I headed toward Morgantown and before I could even get to Gans road it was like the sky tore open in front of my car and millions of Angels and Demons in an all out brawl were dumped onto earth. It was heavy, I couldn’t breathe and I was feeling every emotion possible all at once. It was an all out war. It wasn’t that the Angels were losing but they were fighting, they were battling. It wasn’t an easy touch a demon with a sword and they go down fight. It was an all out war, taking every ounce of energy available from each side. 

Yes I know that the power of Jesus overcomes evil, this isn’t about who will win in the end. This is about the battle taking place right now, right this minute in each and every one of our lives. Wether you are in a current battle in your own life or not, the entire world is at war. This is not a war that religion can fight. This is not a war that puny little prayer without power will fight. This is not the time for people to be sitting in churches on their high horses acting like they have it all together. This is an all out war. This is heavy and dark and troublesome. This war needs the power of the Holy Spirit to overcome evil. This war needs the hands and feet of Jesus. When we sit here begging the Lord for change, praying prayers asking for things without realizing the power of prayer it’s like we are a dog begging for treats. Of course the Lord will provide us the crumbs from our masters table while we crawl on our hands and knees in His presence. However, that is not what Jesus died for. He died for us to recognize our worth in Christ. He died for us to be seated at that table, not begging for crumbs beneath it. Recognize the times. Recognize the need for the Holy Sprit. Recognize the warfare. 

As an intercessor, sometimes I don’t understand what I’m called to pray for when I wake up in the middle of the night. Sometimes the visions are scary, sometimes they’re lovely and sometimes I have no idea why I was given this gift. What is becoming clearer to me by the moment is the need for true deliverance ministry to rise up. The need for churches to teach the Power of the Holy Spirit. To teach the power of praying in tongues, to teach the power of deliverance. To train and equip the body of Christ in the power of healing and the beauty of freedom through deliverance. This isn’t your exorcist movie. This is real. If you can’t see the demonic influences around us then you are truly blind. People are fighting for their lives every day. I was one of them and now I am determined to pull everyone else out of the fire even if I get burned running back into the house. I will keep turning around to pull others out. 

There is power in prayer when you are equipped with the Holy Sprit. There is power in the name of Jesus. Stand firm in that promise that as Jesus ascended to be with His Father that the Holy Spirit was sent to us. Pray bold prayers with strength. Come against the Devil himself and command him to go in the mighty name of Jesus. Repent for the sins that opened the doors to the enemy, forgive, break demonic soul ties, break generational curses, break spoken curses, renounce involvement in witchcraft, in the demonic and repent for coming into agreement with the enemy. There are things holding you back, holding all of us back. There are generational issues that people accept that are actually curses on the blood line. Witchcraft has the ability to attach itself to bloodlines. Something that someone did ages ago can affect your life today if not addressed. There are things at work in the spiritual realm that we don’t realize. Yet we feel the anxiety, the depression, we struggle with suicidal thoughts, feelings of giving up, we have death all around us and we cry to the Lord wondering why. The Lord says you have been given the power, you’ve been given the tools for freedom. You can stand up and yield them like a sword, or beg for the scraps of mercy from beneath the Fathers table. Stand up, be seated with Christ. Take ahold of freedom, chase it, chase the Lord. 

Pray bold prayers, command the enemy to flee. Call it out in the name of Jesus. Deliverance is not a fancy, dress in robes and carry incense, holy water and a cross type ministry. It’s in jeans and a t-shirt with dirty shoes laying hands on the sick, hanging out with sinners who need Jesus. Not becoming like them, but loving them as they are. Praying for recovery, restoration and freedom. Commanding the spirits of the enemy off of them. It’s realizing that just because you sit in church doesn’t mean your demons aren’t sitting right there with you. Without the presence of the Lord and the power of the Holy Spirit calling them out, they’re like squatters that don’t have to leave. The door was opened once, they got in, made themselves at home and don’t have to leave unless made to do so. 

We don’t need another worship song, another revival, another spaghetti dinner, another fish fry, another Sunday service. We need the power of the Holy Spirit and Christians that understand how to use the power bestowed upon us through the sacrificial lamb of Jesus Christ. We need deliverance services, healing services and the ability to have a space where people can break down, where they can be healed, where they aren’t judged for all their junk. Where acceptance and love abound. I remember telling a friend I was on my knees crying in church and she replied back that you can’t do that in her church. I’m is usually the only one doing it in my church, but I refuse to let that stop me. I refuse to go back to sitting there longing for more. Once you taste and see the freedom, there is no going back to lukewarm. That’s such a huge part of the problem. Churches aren’t being the body of Christ. They aren’t raising disciples. They aren’t a place for healing. People don’t feel comfortable in their own churches breaking down and asking for help. That’s a huge problem. That’s not the church Jesus called us to create. Jesus doesn’t turn his back on us, we shouldn’t turn our backs on each other, for any reason. Jesus we need you. We need healing, equipping, and eyes and ears to be open to the truth of your word. 

Stand up and be seated at the table. He’s waiting for you. Step 1 repent, step 2 be water baptized, step 3 receive the Holy Spirit. It’s time to rise up. It’s time to fear the Lord and to understand that Hell is real, the enemy is real and there is an all out brawl in the heavens over your life each and every day. Fight with the Angels that are fighting for you. Who you are matters and the enemy attacks those who are called by Christ hardest of all. If you never run into the Devil, you’re going the same direction. 

Acts 2:38 - Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

Psalms 50:15 - And call upon me in the day of trouble: I will deliver thee, and thou shalt glorify me.

James 5:16 - Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.

Luke 10:8-12 

8 Whenever you enter a town and they receive you, eat what is set before you. 9 Heal the sick in it and say to them, ‘The kingdom of God has come near to you.’ 10 But whenever you enter a town and they do not receive you, go into its streets and say, 11 ‘Even the dust of your town that clings to our feet we wipe off against you. Nevertheless know this, that the kingdom of God has come near.’ 12 I tell you, it will be more bearable on that day for Sodom than for that town.

Luke 10:17-24 The Return of the Seventy-Two

17 The seventy-two returned with joy, saying, “Lord, even the demons are subject to us in your name!” 18 And he said to them, “I saw Satan fall like lightning from heaven. 19 Behold, I have given you authority to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall hurt you. 20 Nevertheless, do not rejoice in this, that the spirits are subject to you, but rejoice that your names are written in heaven.”

21 In that same hour he rejoiced in the Holy Spirit and said, “I thank you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that you have hidden these things from the wise and understanding and revealed them to little children; yes, Father, for such was your gracious will. 22 All things have been handed over to me by my Father, and no one knows who the Son is except the Father, or who the Father is except the Son and anyone to whom the Son chooses to reveal him.”

23 Then turning to the disciples he said privately, “Blessed are the eyes that see what you see! 24 For I tell you that many prophets and kings desired to see what you see, and did not see it, and to hear what you hear, and did not hear it.”

Galatians 5:1 - Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage.

Romans 6:14-19

4 For sin will have no dominion over you, since you are not under law but under grace.

Slaves to Righteousness

15 What then? Are we to sin because we are not under law but under grace? By no means! 16 Do you not know that if you present yourselves to anyone as obedient slaves, you are slaves of the one whom you obey, either of sin, which leads to death, or of obedience, which leads to righteousness? 17 But thanks be to God, that you who were once slaves of sin have become obedient from the heart to the standard of teaching to which you were committed, 18 and, having been set free from sin, have become slaves of righteousness. 19 I am speaking in human terms, because of your natural limitations. For just as you once presented your members as slaves to impurity and to lawlessness leading to more lawlessness, so now present your members as slaves to righteousness leading to sanctification.

2 Peter 2:9 - The Lord knoweth how to deliver the godly out of temptations, and to reserve the unjust unto the day of judgment to be punished

Ephesians 3:16 I pray that out of his glorious riches he may strengthen you with power through his Spirit in your inner being. Isaiah 26:3 You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast because they trust in you.

John 14:26 - But the Comforter, [which is] the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.

John 16:13 - Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, [that] shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.

244. Out of the Wilderness

  The Lord is calling you. He's calling you deeper. He's calling you higher. He's calling you to become more of His and less of what this world calls "Christian" and gets away with. He's calling you, to gather all the broken pieces of the past and He is leading you, to help you put them back together again.  This morning during worship the Lord led me to an open field. There was a half broken down stage like the aftermath of a weekend music festival. I was walking the disheveled grounds kicking through trash and broken down campsites. So much mess left behind without a care or thought in the world. Our pasts can feel the same. 250. Stay North Ash

  Testimony time! Change is hard for some people, especially during the holidays. While many others handle change with ease, I tend to handle it like a cat thrown in a bathtub. Settling in here hasn’t been much different. So much change.  In many areas it’s been a blessing and the perfect fit, but I’d be lying if I said being this far away from Leah wasn’t the hardest thing I’ve ever done. While she’s amazingly independent, I always thought she’d be away at college before I couldn’t just stop by if she ever needed me for anything.   This has led to me questioning the Lord on a lot of things, and led to me wondering if us moving to Morgantown would be a good fit for the next season the Lord has coming up over the horizon.   How many of you have experienced something similar?
