95. Out of Focus

How about this Ash, how about we talk about raising the dead? Well Lord, I can’t testify on that one because I haven’t witnessed it first hand. Everything I talk about, I see or we go through together. Well Ash, I know about it, and I also know about George Floyd. Hold on now Lord, I’m going to be hated on this one for sure. Then let them hate you for my name sake Ash. That’s in my book. They’re focusing on the wrong things. George didn’t have to lose his life, but he did. What would have happened if instead of those bystanders screaming at the cops, when George was placed on that stretcher, if someone had shouted “In the name of Jesus, breathe!”? Instead of shouting at each other and pulling out video cameras during the struggle why wouldn’t they cry out in he Lord by saying “In the name of Jesus, demon I bind you! In Jesus name, you get off of that man!”

Lord so many people don't even believe in this type of relationship with the Holy Spirit, let alone have the ability to stand up like that in a crowd. Ash, People lack faith. They think they have it. Some have faith, but are snared by the fear of man. Cough cough. Very funny Lord, you know that’s one of my biggest struggles. They worry far too much about what people think of them Ash. Faith, true unaltered faith is all it takes. Now we have protesters, looters, and an entire nation up in arms with media coverage, post after post with opinion after opinion. All with the same goal of trying to be the loudest, the most influential. What does being the most influential get you? More money. Why do people need more money in this world Ash? For stuff, Lord. Do you think I gave man the idea for money to obtain wealth and be influential? Lord, that’s tricky because ministry platforms need to obtain wealth to function and influence the nation with your word. Yet your word teaches that greed is a sin. Ash, the idea for money was from the enemy. I designed loving thy neighbor, bartering, trading, helping, blessing one another.

Greed comes from the enemy not wanting to give. With bartering and trading, needs can be met but what happens when someone needs your crop but they have nothing to give you in return? My word would teach to feed thy neighbor with love and generosity. At some point the enemy instilled greed. Greed saying well if you need my crop and can’t give me something in return then I feel cheated. I feel owed something. It’s rooted in selfishness. The God system is reaping and sowing and was expertly designed to have the ability to equally care for everyone as being guided by the Holy Spirit through complete submission to the will of the Lord. This socialism that everyone desires so deeply, is an evil witchcraft knock off of the original system that I had designed with sowing and reaping and caring for my people. Money didn’t exist at first, it was the garden. Everything was free, they could do what they enjoyed and were called to do. There was no societal pressure to be someone. The enemy attacks with greed. With fear and with hatred. With the sin of greed, the rich become richer and the poor become poorer. It was never designed to be that way. It was designed to be Holy Spirit led giving and receiving that would maintain peace and harmony so you all can enjoy your lives and come into relationship with the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. This dream society of equality that everyone wants to enjoy, can happen but probably won’t. Because of who they all are on the inside and what they focus on. Until the greed is dealt with at the very top and exposed there will be no change. Until they stop running in the streets and start running for office. Until they stop chasing $200,000 cars and million dollar houses; until they figure out that Prada means nada(see what I did there Ash, you earned that pun). Good one Lord, so what you’re saying is that we have got it all wrong. Ash, ....... Ok, don’t give me that look Lord, I know, I get it. How do we change it Lord? There you go Ash, now you’re asking the right questions. It changes in the heart. It changes in the mindset. It changes when folks will educate themselves and be the change. Don’t cry for change unless you’re crying out to the Lord. It changes when giving becomes more important than receiving. It changes when my children, cry out in my name in unification and I can heal their land. That’s in the book. I take care of my children. You’ve seen it first hand with everyone preparing for January’s missions trip and how you were blessed on more than one occasion. You heard others with testimonies of being blessed and you’ve faithfully been a blessing to other when I’ve asked you. That is my system. The Holy Spirit should be the most influential of them all. Show them relationship, Ash. It’s deeper than a list of prayer requests before bed each night. They need it now more than ever.

Matthew 10:16-25 ESV
Persecution Will Come
16 “Behold, I am sending you out as sheep in the midst of wolves, so be wise as serpents and innocent as doves. 17 Beware of men, for they will deliver you over to courts and flog you in their synagogues, 18 and you will be dragged before governors and kings for my sake, to bear witness before them and the Gentiles. 19 When they deliver you over, do not be anxious how you are to speak or what you are to say, for what you are to say will be given to you in that hour. 20 For it is not you who speak, but the Spirit of your Father speaking through you. 21 Brother will deliver brother over to death, and the father his child, and children will rise against parents and have them put to death, 22 and you will be hated by all for my name's sake. But the one who endures to the end will be saved. 23 When they persecute you in one town, flee to the next, for truly, I say to you, you will not have gone through all the towns of Israel before the Son of Man comes.

Deueronomy 28:10
10 And call the peoples of the earth shall see that you are called by the name of the LORD, and they shall be afraid of you.

2 Chronicles 7:14-19 (People want 14-16 but don't want to look at 19-20)
14 if my people who are called by my name humble themselves, and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land. 15 Now my eyes will be open and my ears attentive to the prayer that is made in this place. 16 For now I have chosen and consecrated this house that my name may be there forever. My eyes and my heart will be there for all time. 17 And as for you, if you will walk before me as David your father walked, doing according to all that I have commanded you and keeping my statutes and my rules, 18 then I will establish your royal throne, as I covenanted with David your father, saying, ‘You shall not lack a man to rule Israel.’19 “But if you turn aside and forsake my statutes and my commandments that I have set before you, and go and serve other gods and worship them, 20 then I will pluck you up from my land that I have given you, and this house that I have consecrated for my name, I will cast out of my sight, and I will make it a proverb and a byword among all peoples.

Daniel 9:18-19
18 my God, incline your ear and hear. Open your eyes and see sour desolations, and the city that is called by your name. For we do not present our pleas before you because of our righteousness, but because of your great mercy.19 O Lord, hear; O Lord, forgive. O Lord, pay attention and act. Delay not, for your own sake, O my God, because your city and your people are called by your name.”

244. Out of the Wilderness

The Lord is calling you. He's calling you deeper. He's calling you higher. He's calling you to become more of His and less of what this world calls "Christian" and gets away with. He's calling you, to gather all the broken pieces of the past and He is leading you, to help you put them back together again.  This morning during worship the Lord led me to an open field. There was a half broken down stage like the aftermath of a weekend music festival. I was walking the disheveled grounds kicking through trash and broken down campsites. So much mess left behind without a care or thought in the world. Our pasts can feel the same. So much junk, so much carnage, so much chaos left behind.  I grabbed a large trash bag and began cleaning. As I continued to gather things up, the ground was transforming. The season was shifting. The air felt lighter, the leaves in the surrounding trees began to change and a fresh autumn breeze began to blow through the field. As the la...

258. Is Jesus Enough?

Is Jesus enough for you? What if we never arrive? What if like Moses you wander in the desert for years only to have the Joshua generation be the one to enter the promised land? The land that was originally promised to Abraham 42 generations prior. 42 generations it took to fulfill that promise.  What if you’re generation 37, or 16, or 5 or 41. What if your family is this close to the breakthrough of the promised land that you’ve been praying for, and you give up now? What if you take the bait of the enemy and quit before you reach the finish line? Or worse yet, you give up, erase the efforts of every generation before you, and your kids or grandkids never meet Jesus at all.  This is your reminder…don’t fall for it. Same evil tactics different worldly package. All designed to kill, steal and destroy.  Satan doesn’t have to take your life if he can take your peace, wrap you in groundhog’s days, and have you spread that woe is me, lack of joy under a “Christian” label, like...

250. Stay North Ash

Testimony time! Change is hard for some people, especially during the holidays. While many others handle change with ease, I tend to handle it like a cat thrown in a bathtub. Settling in here hasn’t been much different. So much change.  In many areas it’s been a blessing and the perfect fit, but I’d be lying if I said being this far away from Leah wasn’t the hardest thing I’ve ever done. While she’s amazingly independent, I always thought she’d be away at college before I couldn’t just stop by if she ever needed me for anything.   This has led to me questioning the Lord on a lot of things, and led to me wondering if us moving to Morgantown would be a good fit for the next season the Lord has coming up over the horizon.   How many of you have experienced something similar? You pray, the Lord answers, you obey, then you’re in it. You’re smack dab in the middle of what you prayed for and it ends up challenging you to grow in ways you never thought possible.  You ...
