50. Having a wonderful time seeing the Lord work in the lives of the people here. I’m honestly having a very difficult time gathering the words needed to express the events of the past few days. Faith can move mountains. There hasn’t been one person that we have prayed for that hasn’t been healed.
The way this area is effected by both the glory of the Lord and the grips of the enemy is breathtaking and eye opening. I pray that the Lord continues to use us all in any way He deems necessary. You look to the left and see a beautiful beach and can take pictures that would make everyone believe they are in paradise. Then you walk a block and there are homes that are gated and have barbed wire protecting them. There are walls built around homes and churches. There are horses and cows walking around on the beach. There are wild dogs on the beach and in the streets. People ride bikes everywhere. Children are playing instruments in the streets for money. You don’t realize how fortunate you are.
What I also noticed was how much simpler life is here. They live to work, to eat and to keep a roof over their heads. They aren’t distracted by which toy they’re buying next. They aren’t rushing a thousand miles an hour from the time they wake up until the time they go to sleep. They appreciate things more than we do. The Lord yearns for the humble. I am blown away by this experience.
