45. It’s the first day of a new decade. Realistically many of us will begin today starting day 1 of our New Years resolutions only to fall short in a few days, weeks, or months leaving us discouraged and in the same place we were when 2019 ended. A new day, year or even decade won’t automatically bring the solution to the problems that many of us face on a daily basis.
For many 2020 is bringing prophecy of a new decade, one where the Lord will be turning everything around. I feel that I’ve been lead to warn that the enemy also knows the Lord will be releasing his Kingdom power over the nations and the enemy is not going or giving up without a fight. The enemy will step up his game because he knows his time is almost up. He will target many who are dear to the Lord and in some cases he will succeed in pulling people away from their God given purpose, no matter how close to the Lord you are or once were.
Many of my friends and family are suffering with chronic illnesses, pain, depression, worry, anxiety and fear. It’s difficult wanting and praying for a change that never comes. Some would even go as far as to say that if the Lord is this amazing healer, why isn’t everyone flooding the churches to be prayed for and healed?
Matthew 4:7 King James Version (KJV)
7 Jesus said unto him, It is written again, Thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy God
7 Jesus said unto him, It is written again, Thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy God
We don’t know why the Lord chooses to do his will in the way that He does. It is not for us to know. What I do know, is that the Lord is a healer. I’ve seen it first hand.
What I also know is that spoken curses can hinder any type of healing no matter how spiritual you are or how close you believe you are to the Lord. If the Lord is enthroned on the praises of his people, who do you think is glorified and enthroned on the curses of his people? The curses we speak over ourselves?
A spoken curse doesn’t have to be something that is done during a satanic ritual for it to have an affect on you. A spoken curse is simply something someone has said about you or something you say about yourself that is a contradiction to what the Lord says about you in the Bible. It’s something spoken that opens the door for the enemy’s demons to set up camp in the background of your thought process. Demons don’t just jump on unsuspecting Christians and people, they have to be invited. Many don’t realize that the words we speak out of our mouths are what can crack open the door and share the invitation to demonic attack.
Saying something like “I hate my life” is the same as saying “Spirit of death, please come on in”. Saying something like “I hate my hips” is the same as saying “Critical Spirit and Spirit of Self Hatred, welcome!” Saying something like “Nothing I do works, I’ll just be stuck with this pain, illness and depression forever” is the same as saying “Spirit of sickness, pain and torment, you’re going to be with me forever, make yourself at home”.
We need to take authority over our words. They can affect so much more than we realize. When people have been verbally abused their entire lives they begin to identify with the words spoken over them. Words like you’ll never amount to anything, you’re worthless, you’re always going to be this way, you wouldn’t have anything if it wasn’t for me or saying things like I hate myself or I’m so fat or I’m depressed, or I’m just ugly. Those words take hold and invite demonic spirits to take root in our minds. When people have been chronically ill, it’s normal to say things like “I have another migraine again” or “another day in pain, this is bs” or “this is just my lot in life”. Those simple phrases give a stronghold to the enemy. I stronghold you probably never thought you’d be giving.
The Lord equips us with the Sword of the Spirit which is the word of God. The Word of the Bible. Use the sword of the Spirit, the Spoken Word of God. Speak scripture over your life, speak praises, speak healing and you’ll see a change. Use the SWORD! 🗡 use it daily and swiftly to cut off the enemy’s attack.
Ephesians 6:17 - And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:
If you need a breakthrough in this area of your life, I invite you to ask the Lord to help you identify curses that others have spoken over you and those you have spoken over yourself. Then pray this prayer to break that cycle.
Lord you have helped me to identify curses I have spoken over myself as well as curses spoken over me by others. I repent for speaking these curses over myself. In the name of Jesus I renounce the curse of ____________. (Insert everything that comes to your mind that was spoken over you or that you’ve said over yourself) In the name of Jesus, I apply the blood of Christ to every curse spoken by me and every curse spoken over me. In the name of Jesus, I break their power over my life. In the name of Jesus, I renounce every effect that these negative words have had on my life. Where there was cursing, I thank you Lord for releasing blessing. Lord I pray, that you would release to me your grace, your mercy, your healing and a revelation of your heart. In Jesus name, Amen!
If you are struggling with something in your life, wether it be chronic illness, pain or depression or anything else, I invite you to read the short book of Philippians. I’ll share some of the highlights here. Take control of 2020 by taking control of the words you speak, especially the ones you declare over yourself. You are a child of The Lord our God.
Philippians 1:12-14
12 But I would ye should understand, brethren, that the things which happened unto me have fallen out rather unto the furtherance of the gospel;
13 So that my bonds in Christ are manifest in all the palace, and in all other places;
14 And many of the brethren in the Lord, waxing confident by my bonds, are much more bold to speak the word without fear.

Philippians 1:19-26 NKJV
19 For I know that this will turn out for my deliverance through your prayer and the supply of the Spirit of Jesus Christ
20 according to my earnest expectation and hope that in nothing I shall be ashamed, but with all boldness, as always, so now also Christ will be magnified in my body, whether by life or by death.
21 For to me, to live is Christ, and to die is gain.
22 But if I live on in the flesh, this will mean fruit from my labor; yet what I shall choose I cannot tell.
23 For I am hard-pressed between the two, having a desire to depart and be with Christ, which is far better.
24 Nevertheless to remain in the flesh is more needful for you.
25 And being confident of this, I know that I shall remain and continue with you all for your progress and joy of faith
26 that your rejoicing for me may be more abundant in Jesus Christ by my coming to you again.

Philippians 2:11-16
11 and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
12 Therefore, my beloved, as you have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling;
13 for it is God who works in you both to will and to do for His good pleasure.
14 Do all things without complaining and disputing,
15 that you may become blameless and harmless, children of God without fault in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation, among whom you shine as lights in the world,
16 holding fast the word of life, so that I may rejoice in the day of Christ that I have not run in vain or labored in vain.

Philippians 3:9-16
9 and be found in Him, not having my own righteousness, which is from the law, but that which is through faith in Christ, the righteousness which is from God by faith;
10 that I may know Him and the power of His resurrection, and the fellowship of His sufferings, being conformed to His death,
11 if, by any means, I may attain to the resurrection from the dead.
Pressing Toward the Goal
12 Not that I have already attained, or am already perfected; but I press on, that I may lay hold of that for which Christ Jesus has also laid hold of me.
13 Brethren, I do not count myself to have apprehended; but one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead
14 I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.
15 Therefore let us, as many as are mature, have this mind; and if in anything you think otherwise, God will reveal even this to you.
16 Nevertheless, to the degree that we have already attained, let us walk by the same rule, let us be of the same mind.
